Turns out that house that I made an offer on was not so good. It sucked. Just wanted to note that. It was a POS. Way beyond crappy. Mold issues, termite issues, and foundation issues. I feel badly for the poor sap that ends up buying that place.
Possible breakthrough in House?

Yeah, so exciting news. Its possible I’ll get that house after all. Which may not make sense as i’ve not been updating this site as to the most recent happenings.
Basically i looked at a house, and was going to buy it. As i was working out the loan details the seller signed with someone else to buy it. That sucked, so i called a realitor and we started looking at some places.
Not much later we this place that i was slightly interested, but it did not thrill me too much. Mainly because it smelled like the previous owner was a smoker. Then it is somewhat in a more dilapidated area. But maybe not, i don’t know how well i am at judging those sort of things.
Then a day later as we were looking at some places, two of the three we were unable to get into, i decided to check this place out again (from the day before).
We went there and the owner was there moving some stuff out. And I noticed the smell was gone. I asked him if he was a smoker and he said he was not. He also had been living there for fifteen years. What a relief. I thought i was going to have to repaint and do a bunch of crap to get rid of the smell.
Well after that visit i decided to put an offer in on it. I (in hindsite) put in a way-too low offer, and they counter by raising the price (kind of ironic). I decided that based off the going prices of like buildings in the same lot that i was still getting a great deal. Perceived value is excellent i suppose.
Anyway so we sent through accepting their counter. Only to find that they had accepted another of the various offers they had received. This was disappointing and discouraging.
So i started selecting another round of condo’s to look at.
Then today my realitor called me to let me know that the other buyers had backed out. Boom, I’m back in the game.
Now i get to find out if my lender that i selected will actually pull through as she specified in her Good Faith Estimate.

July 4th Eve
July 3, 2006 no comments
Well its the 3rd of July. Which means we all break out the day of our Independence as a nation.
That’s pretty much all I have to say on the subject. I mean, I’m not doing much for it, I think a buddy of mine is having a BBQ. Which is awesome, minus the heat which produces plenty of sweat.
I’m still looking to buy a place to live. Its kinda crappy because I can barely handle a mortgage on a 130k place. And now that I missed out on the place I’ve been looking at, I’m not so sure there are other places that will match it. Its a luck of the draw I suppose.
And really, if my computer repair stuff takes off, then why wouldn’t I be able to handle it? Oh well, I’m going to check out some places this weekend, we will see.
I was browsing some recent photos I’d taken with my phone. I came across one in particular that caught my attention. Ever since I discovered Lomo photography I’ve wanted a Lomo camera. Well, the next best thing, using photoshop.
I took this photo I had, and further enhanced its artistic characteristics. Its pretty sweet i think. Let me know what you think in the comments.

Yeah getting my ears gauged
July 2, 2006 no comments
Well tonight I gauged my ears. Or rather started out the first step of getting them there. Which is to pierce them with 14 gauge … things. Here are some pictures. Unfortunately i may be having some doubts about it, not much i can do about that now that its done. But from what i’ve read, the holes do close up, and now i’m not so sure they do close up after removing the erring.
Here are some pictures.
**Update: March 16th, 2007 - Found this post that was never published. I did end up taking them out after only 2 weeks. They got really infected and I decided I didn’t like the way they felt…my ears were always cold.
