Just purchased the HP Laserjet P1006 printer. Ordered on my Chase card which means I get an additional year of warranty? (i think) - to make a claim i need to call Mastercard Benefits Administrator at 800-622-7747.
Just a little mental note for me.
One of the primary reasons i purchased the printer was to print to 3×5 cards. But according to my internets researches laserjet cannot do this without some driver tweaking. We’ll see how this turns out.
Funny how my first post in forever is about a printer and kinda lame. I have another post i was going to make last night - but then decided to post that to www.ponderplace.com. Hopefully i’ll have that up in the next few days.
Update (2008.09.12 @ 3:49pm): I just got off the phone with Rachelle who directed my attention to the irony of my previous post and this one. Obviously that irony being my paying off my credit cards in the last post. And this one, where i purchase a printer on my credit card.
It would seem some clarification is needed.
First of all, the credit card was used for two reasons. 1) it was convenient (for an internet purchase). and 2) for the additional 1yr warrenty my credit card provides. Just this morning i posted payment to my credit card from my bank account for the printer. I tried doing this the night i purchased the printer, but it hadn’t shown up on my credit card yet, and i didn’t want to mess anything up by pre-paying. So i left it till now.
Anyway, the printer is great, nice sharp print jobs. And it prints to 3×5 just fine, the tech support guy i talked to prior to purchase made it sound complex, when really its just defining the size of paper…hmmmk?
