Prompted by an article about internet connections and what is currently available on the market, i called Cox to see if they had the 20mb/2mb connection available. They don’t (for me apparently).
While talking to the rep I also discovered the Cox has a cap on your bandwidth usage per month. I never really considered it, so i guess it shouldn’t be a surprise, but wtf!?
the cap is 50gigs down and 12gigs up. Totally lame.
Something was screwy with my last OS install on my home computer. I was having hardware … callbacks? or something, i don’t remember the error code. Basically it used up 100% of the cycles on one of my two cores. This made everything feel laggy and slow.
I was careful on this reformat. I don’t want to install those bad drivers again. And I’ll be using DriveImage XML so that I can do an instant restore in 10 minutes should this happen again.
